 Peter J. Deeb is a trial attorney with an uncommon record of success in the representation of clients in all facets of commercial litigation, employment litigation, and tort defense. For more than 25 years, he has served as counsel for leasing companies, banks, corporations, insurance companies, and other business entities, including individual entrepreneurs. He is known for securing results, whether through the review of employment agreements or the revision of portfolio purchase agreements, program agreements, and master lease agreements. However, it is in the role of trial attorney that Mr. Deeb shines, offering clients a winning combination of legal knowledge, trial experience, and presentation skill.
General Commercial Litigation:
Mr. Deeb has represented banks, corporations, and other business entities in commercial disputes, including actions sounding in breach of contract, interference in contract, unjust enrichment, and fraud.
Representation of the Leasing Industry:
Mr. Deeb has developed a national reputation for representing clients in the Leasing Industry. He leads a team of lawyers at the firm who manage the comprehensive array of leasing companies' legal needs, including:
- Litigation: Defense of consumer protection claims by attorney generals, defense of class actions, and disputes between leasing companies, including breach of representations and warranties, and other breaches of contract
- Work-Out: Amendment of agreements, mediation, creditor's rights, bankruptcy, and settlements
- Lease Default: Cost-benefit analysis in "substantial" defaults prior to instituting actions for replevin, actions for deficiencies, and actions against guarantors
- Documentation: Review, revision, and drafting of all documents relative to the leasing industry, including master lease agreements, program agreements, and portfolio purchase agreements
Employment Matters:
Mr. Deeb has represented both companies and individuals in the review and revision of employment agreements; he has also represented companies in litigation, including petitions for injunction with respect to restrictive covenants such as non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, as well as discrimination claims.
Tort Litigation:
Mr. Deeb has represented insurance companies and self-insured's in tort actions involving premises liability, medical malpractice, and other negligence claims, as well as claims alleging defamation and product liability.
Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Deeb received his B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
