 A partner in the firm, Inez M. Markovich concentrates her practice in the areas of business reorganization and bankruptcy, debt restructuring, commercial finance transactions, creditors' rights, and financial services regulation. Ms. Markovich has played significant roles representing secured and unsecured creditors in a variety of complex bankruptcy matters, including negotiations, documentation and obtaining approval of debtor-in-possession financings, cash collateral and adequate protection stipulations, Section 363 asset sales, and strategic advice on negotiations and implementation of Chapter 11 plans.
Ms. Markovich routinely represents commercial banks, leasing companies, and other financial institutions in all aspects of secured lending, asset-based lending, syndicated lending, commercial leasing, credit enhancement transactions, and bank regulatory matters. In addition, she represents a number of companies and entrepreneurs in a broad range of general commercial matters.
Ms. Markovich is a regular contributor to banking industry publications on issues of commercial finance, leasing, and bankruptcy. She has also delivered presentations on bankruptcy, debt restructuring, and commercial finance to various organizations, including the Turnaround Management Association and The National Business Institute.
In 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012, Ms. Markovich was named a Super Lawyers "Rising Star." She was also named a "Person to Watch," as one of 10 young community leaders making an impact on the Philadelphia region, by Inside magazine. In 2010, Ms. Markovich was named as a "40 Under 40" winner by Philadelphia Business Journal, and as a "Lawyer on the Fast Track" by The Legal Intelligencer.
A native of Volgograd, Russia, Ms. Markovich is a co-founder and former member of the board of directors of the Russian-Speaking Professionals Network of Greater Philadelphia, and a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Forum of Executive Women. A summa cum laude graduate of Arcadia University and a cum laude graduate of Temple University Law School, she is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.
