 Christine C. McGuigan focuses her practice on the litigation of complex commercial and tort matters in both state and federal courts. She routinely represents financial institutions, leasing companies, entertainment venues, shopping centers, technology firms, and a variety of other business entities and individuals. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Ms. McGuigan specializes in litigation involving contract disputes, creditors' rights, premises liability, employment law, and commercial property management. In her over 10 years of practice, Ms. McGuigan has taken thousands of depositions, argued countless motions, and secured numerous multi-million dollar judgments in favor of her clients.
Notable matters handled by Ms. McGuigan include:
- Ebling, et al. v. Comcast Spectacor Limited Partnership, et al., where she successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of her client
- O'Connor v. Spectrum Arena Limited Partnership, wherein a defense verdict was entered in favor of her client after jury trial
- NorVergence multi-district litigation, which included the representation of several finance companies against allegations of consumer fraud, government investigations, and class actions nationwide
- Prior to joining the firm, Ms. McGuigan worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Matthew Carrafiello and the Honorable Patricia McInerney in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. She also worked for in-house counsel for Nationwide Insurance.
Ms. McGuigan is a graduate of the Temple University School of Law, where she was the recipient of a three-year merit scholarship, the Barrister Award, and an Outstanding Oral Advocacy notation. A New England native, Ms. McGuigan obtained her Bachelor's degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I., where she was a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society, studied law abroad in London, and finished college a year early, graduating cum laude. Ms. McGuigan is also bilingual, fluent in Portuguese.
